Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Pizzeria Counter Person & Counter Person to join our team! In this role, you will be the friendly face of our pizzeria, providing exceptional customer service while expertly handling food preparation, sales transactions, and food safety standards. As a leader on the counter, you will guide team members, ensure smooth operations, and uphold cleanliness and sanitation protocols. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with menu selections, upselling specials and add-ons to enhance sales opportunities Prepare and assemble food items according to quality standards, including pizzas, salads, and other menu offerings Operate POS systems for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently Manage customer orders from start to finish, ensuring timely service and satisfaction Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene standards throughout all shifts Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, give correct change, and reconcile daily cash drawers Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following proper food handling procedures Assist in training new team members on food prep, POS operation, customer service techniques, and safety protocols Support team leadership by supervising counter staff during shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent service delivery Experience Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments preferred; food industry background highly valued Demonstrated culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours Proven ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly attitude Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and inventory management Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in a fast-paced setting is advantageous Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards in a restaurant or café setting Join us to be part of a dynamic team where your enthusiasm for food service makes every guest's experience memorable!
