Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Food Expediter, where your energy and organizational skills will ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. In this vital role, you will act as the communication bridge between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, coordinating food orders to deliver timely, accurate, and high-quality dishes. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create an efficient, lively atmosphere that delights our customers and supports our culinary excellence. Duties Act as the central communication point between kitchen staff and servers to expedite food orders efficiently Ensure all dishes are prepared according to quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food safety protocols Organize and prioritize incoming food orders to maintain smooth kitchen operations and timely service Communicate clearly with cooks, chefs, and front-of-house team members regarding order status and special requests Monitor the flow of food from the kitchen to ensure accuracy, proper plating, and adherence to timing expectations Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic cooking, plating, or garnishing to support kitchen staff Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediter station, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred Familiarity with food preparation, expediting processes, and restaurant operations Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate between kitchen staff and servers Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems or order management software is a plus Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling procedures Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Experience in banquet service, hotel hospitality, or culinary roles enhances suitability for this position Join us in creating memorable dining moments by ensuring every plate reaches our guests perfectly timed and beautifully presented!
