art-Time Household Help (Wallingford Area) We're a family of four who run a family business and are looking for someone to help keep our home running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, organizing, and creating a calm home environment and is looking for a little supplemental income doing what they already do well. We are very easy going and love spending time as a fsmily. We welcome another person into our house and hope they will flow with us. We have had the lovely experience of having the same person help us for the last 4 years, but sadly she is moving on to a full time job. That being said, we have created a routine that works very well and we know the right person can fall right into. Schedule Approximately 5 hours per week Typically 2.5 hours 2 days on Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or thursday We can be flexible from week to week and shift days Hours can generally be scheduled anytime between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with the latest preferred time slot being 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM Responsibilities may include: Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the week Meal prepping items such as quinoa salads, egg salad, chicken salad, muffins, cut fruit, roasted vegetables, and other grab-and-go options Preparing one fresh hot meal Cleaning up the kitchen after cooking Folding and putting away laundry Wiping down kitchen surfaces and maintaining a tidy kitchen Vacuuming and general kitchen upkeep Occasionally stopping at the grocery store on the way in for a few additional items if needed (most grocery shopping will already be done) About Us We enjoy fresh, local food with lots of produce. We do eat meat and love a variety of cuisines and flavors. We value flexibility, kindness, and open communication. Our schedules can be busy, but we're easygoing and appreciative of the people who help make our home life run well. Our house is clean and groceries are shopped, often laundry is done it just needs to be folded and put away. We just need a little help offsetting the hours that go into these tasks. We hope to find someone who enjoys being the kitchen. Bring a podcast and come to work, watch our children play, or maybe the house is empty that day and you can cook in quiet. Compensation $100 per day for a 2.5 hour shift two days/week. The position can be paid through our family business, and some benefits may be available for the right candidate. We're very flexible and happy to accommodate planned time off.
