As a Kitchen Helper, you will assist with food preparation, uphold safety standards, cleanliness of the kitchen including but not limited to cleaning dishes, and ensure that meals are served promptly and hygienically. Duties Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients following recipe guidelines and safety standards Operate basic kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, and food processors safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances to meet sanitation regulations Utilize dishwasher to ensure all silverware, glassware, and plateware are cleaned to company standards. Maintain the cleanliness of the Employee Cafeteria area and help serve lunch as needed. Support cooking activities by following established procedures and ensuring food safety protocols are adhered to Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours Follow proper food handling practices to prevent contamination and ensure freshness of ingredients Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and maintain a smooth workflow Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential Basic knowledge of food safety management and handling standards in the food industry Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation techniques Experience with cleaning procedures in a commercial kitchen environment Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow safety standards in production settings Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen staff Previous restaurant or catering experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Join us today and become an integral part of a vibrant culinary environment where your skills grow alongside your passion for food!
