In this vital role, you'll be the backbone of our food service operation, ensuring all dishes are spotless, sanitized, and ready for presentation. Your enthusiasm for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety will contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop essential kitchen skills while supporting a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. Duties Wash, scrub, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly Assist with food preparation tasks in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedure Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and correctly Follow manual handling protocols to lift heavy items safely and prevent injury Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and storage spaces Support the kitchen team with basic food handling and sanitation tasks to uphold kitchen health and safety standards Requirements Prior experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key! Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices essential for maintaining hygiene standards Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with care Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and cleaning tools Strong attention to detail in cleaning, food handling, and adhering to health regulations Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting busy kitchen operations Commitment to following kitchen health and safety standards consistently
Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
