In this role, you will support the cleanliness of our kitchen by monitoring our dishpit, assisting with preparation and presentation of meals, and ensuring all food safety standards are met. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry. Duties Monitor proper washing and sanitizing of kitchen tools and FOH dishes Step in on the line to assist cooks as needed Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in accordance with food safety standards Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and other appliances Support meal service by plating dishes and ensuring timely delivery to guests or residents Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying staff of stock needs Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and clear communication during busy periods Requirements Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and maintaining hygiene protocols Strong communication skills for effective teamwork with kitchen staff Ability to follow recipes precisely and adhere to food handling guidelines Basic culinary skills such as knife handling, slicing techniques, and meal preparation methods Previous food service experience is a plus but not mandatory Join us as a Kitchen Assistant to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering high-quality meals while upholding the highest safety standards.
