Overview Valley Tavern is hiring! We're looking for a motivated Line Cook to join our team. Pay is competitive and based on experience, and we offer full training for the right candidate. As we head into our busy season, we're seeking an ambitious, hardworking, and dependable individual who's ready to grow with us. If you're passionate about great food and teamwork, we'd love to hear from you! Duties Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency and quality in food service. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Support menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation during service hours. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages. Skills Experience in the food industry preferred, but training will be provided. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Basic cooking skills with an eagerness to learn. Familiarity with meal preparation processes and catering operations.
