The ideal candidate should be organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment. Responsibilities Assist cooks with basic food preparation and ingredient portioning. Wash, peel, cut, and organize ingredients as needed. Prepare food items according to kitchen instructions. Support cooks and kitchen staff during busy service periods. Keep kitchen workstations clean, organized, and properly stocked. Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment. Restock ingredients, food containers, and kitchen supplies. Help receive, organize, and store food deliveries. Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Remove trash and maintain clean kitchen areas. Help maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment. Perform other kitchen support tasks as assigned. Qualifications Previous kitchen, restaurant, or food service experience preferred. Basic understanding of food preparation and sanitation practices. Ability to follow instructions and work well with a team. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Strong attention to cleanliness and organization. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks. Ability to lift and move kitchen supplies when needed. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
