Job Overview Join our vibrant Kinya Ramen team as a Kitchen Staff member, where your culinary passion and dedication will help craft authentic, flavorful ramen dishes that delight our guests. As part of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring every bowl of ramen meets our high-quality standards. This paid position is perfect for individuals eager to develop their culinary skills and thrive in a lively restaurant setting. Duties Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking various ramen components, including broths, noodles, and toppings, following established recipes and procedures Operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, grills, braising pots, poaching stations, and food processors with safety and efficiency Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling protocols to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients for daily specials or seasonal offerings under supervision Support food production during high-volume service times by managing multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality standards Ensure proper knife skills are applied for precise cutting, slicing, and dicing of vegetables, meats, and garnishes Uphold all food safety management practices including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste and contamination Skills Previous dietary aide experience or similar roles within the food industry that involve meal preparation and food handling Strong knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management principles Experience with fine dining or restaurant environments that emphasize quality presentation and meticulous recipe adherence Proficiency in cooking techniques such as braising, grilling, poaching, and general food production methods Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a high-volume setting Excellent knife skills with attention to detail for preparing ingredients consistently Background in catering or large-scale meal preparation demonstrating capacity for high-volume production Familiarity with menu planning processes and working within dietary department guidelines when applicable Embark on an exciting culinary journey with us—where your skills will help create memorable dining experiences while you grow your expertise in a lively kitchen environment!
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
