Job Summary:

Alexander's Café is a small, locally owned restaurant passionate about serving the Binghamton community with fresh, quality food and exceptional customer service. For the last 12 years, we have prided ourselves in supporting and giving back to our local community. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Counter Associate Closer. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient closing of our establishment. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their orders and addressing any concerns or questions
• Assist in kitchen duties, such as preparing food items and signature beverages (smoothies & milkshakes) and ensuring proper food safety protocols are followed
• Deliver orders/caterings locally
• Learn and understand the menu
• Suggestive selling
• Operate the SpotOn POS system to complete transactions and process customer orders and payments
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area throughout the shift

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required
• Mid-day shift availability required (9-5)
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Familiarity with kitchen operations is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
