Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Kitchen Worker to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities Assist with meal preparation, including slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients following established recipes and menu plans Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as ovens, mixers, knives, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances to meet health and safety standards Follow food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, sanitation, and safety of all ingredients and finished products Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients according to specified techniques like slicing, dicing, and portioning Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and ensure timely delivery of orders Adhere strictly to safety standards during all food production processes to prevent accidents or contamination Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients for upcoming meals or catering events when needed Maintain accurate records of food inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies promptly Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen area through regular cleaning routines Experience Previous experience working in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred Familiarity with food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments is essential Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, knives, and slicers is required Knowledge of culinary techniques including knife skills and slicing methods will be advantageous Prior catering or meal service experience can be beneficial for this role Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and team members Demonstrated ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in meal preparation Join us as a Kitchen Worker to bring your culinary skills to life while ensuring every dish meets our high standards for quality and safety.
