The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen by washing dishes, cookware, utensils, and food preparation equipment while assisting with general kitchen cleanliness. Hampton Food Market operates a grocery store with a bakery, deli, and hot food department, so the role supports multiple food service areas.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing equipment. Hand wash large or delicate kitchen items as needed. Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and sanitized. Sweep and mop kitchen floors. Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the shift. Assist with cleaning food preparation areas and kitchen equipment. Properly store clean dishes and kitchen supplies. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Assist kitchen staff with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

No previous experience required; experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
