Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the kitchen staff in food preparation and ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness while assisting in meal preparation for our guests. Duties Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled properly and stored correctly. Support cooks during meal preparation by providing necessary assistance as required. Help with inventory management by checking supplies and reporting shortages to the manager. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Skills Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Experience in the food industry or previous roles in food handling is preferred. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and culinary techniques for meal preparation. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain a clean working environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while following instructions from chefs and kitchen staff. Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Pay:
