This individual will assist in scheduling, training, and evaluating lifeguard staff and serve as a leadership role model for aquatic team members. Key Responsibilities of lifeguard and swim instructor: Ensure safe swimming conditions in the pool, on deck, and in surrounding areas Promote a respectful, inclusive atmosphere aligned with YMCA policies and procedures Interact with members of all ages, offering guidance and encouragement toward their health and wellness goals Lead swim instruction with confidence, providing clear direction, motivation, and support to students
