HOUSEKEEPER JOB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this position is to implement facility housekeeping procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in housekeeping.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB

(with or without assistance): Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, pushing and pulling, fine hand coordination, ability to hear and respond to pages, ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and directions; ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel, vendors and consultants; ability to distinguish smells, tastes, and temperatures; and the ability to remain calm under stress. Responsibilites Implement housekeeping policies and procedures to meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Participate in the monitoring system for the housekeeping department. Notify supervisor when supplies are needed, equipment is in need of repair or when areas of the facility are in need of repair. Use housekeeping supplies efficiently. Follow material safety data sheets. Operate housekeeping equipment safely. Assist in proper care of housekeeping equipment. Identify and report any equipment malfunction to supervisor. Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy. Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy. Follow Residents' Rights policies at all times. To be responsible for the safety of residents related to housekeeping duties. To observe infection control procedures at all times. Attend in-service training programs for housekeeping associates. To come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality. To accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner. To come to work in neat, clean clothing consistent with housekeeping policy. To perform other duties as requested by management.

Pay:

$14.00 per hour
