Maintenance Director or Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Laundry Attendant to join our senior living community. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized laundry operation while ensuring residents' personal clothing and community linens are properly cleaned, handled, and returned. This position plays an important role in supporting the comfort, dignity, and well-being of our residents. Responsibilities Follow established laundry schedules and supervisor instructions for resident clothing, linens, towels, blankets, and other departmental laundry. Ensure all resident personal laundry is properly labeled, laundered separately, and returned to the correct resident and location. Process and distribute laundry for all departments in a timely and efficient manner. Fold, hang, and iron resident and community laundry items as needed. Maintain clean and organized laundry rooms, supply areas, and janitorial closets. Monitor laundry equipment and submit maintenance requests for repairs or concerns. Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or hazards to the appropriate supervisor. Assist with preparing resident rooms for move-ins, including clean linens and bed preparation. Support housekeeping operations by assisting with cleaning resident rooms and common areas when needed. Follow all infection control procedures, universal precautions, and clean/soiled laundry protocols. Monitor and report inventory levels of chemicals, supplies, and linens. Record water and heat temperatures as required. Attend required staff meetings and training sessions. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or Administrator. Qualifications Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassion for seniors and a genuine desire to work with the elderly population. Ability to work a regular full-time or part-time schedule and be available for on-call assignments when needed. Must meet all applicable state health requirements. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday. Ability to safely operate laundry equipment and handle laundry supplies. Ability to lift and carry laundry bags, linens, and supplies as needed. Why Join Our Team? Pay:
$17.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 24.0 per week
