Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high cleanliness standards. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and breakfast zones using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment. Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and using personal protective equipment (PPE). Operate janitorial equipment like vacuums, floor buffers, and steam cleaners efficiently to ensure optimal floor care and sanitation. Assist in setting up breakfast areas by arranging food stations, replenishing supplies, and ensuring a hygienic environment for guests. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns. Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of cleaning supplies or furniture while adhering to safety protocols for injury prevention. Experience Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial services is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with cleaning routines and sanitation standards. Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices and janitorial equipment operation enhances your ability to perform duties effectively. Experience handling chemical agents safely and understanding chemical handling procedures is essential for maintaining a safe work environment. Strong customer service skills are vital to creating positive interactions with guests and supporting their needs with professionalism.
