Position Summary:

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning the residents' units, living centers, the community areas, staff lounges, and all common areas within the community. The Housekeeper is responsible for providing highest standards of cleanliness and quality on the community. II. A. Provides daily cleaning of assigned resident units, assisted living center, skilled nursing center, community center and other common areas. B. Checks cart for all cleaning materials required and lists additional supplies needed. C. Stocks housekeeping cart at end of shift. D. Stocks housekeeping closets E. Possesses a basic understanding of infection control. F. Possesses a basic knowledge of chemical usage. G. Perform infection control cleaning in residents' room, living centers, tabletops, and nightstand. H. Mop and sweep rooms and living centers. I. Sanitizes bathroom facilities, and supplies with soap, tissue, and paper towels J. Washes/dust walls, cleans furniture, sanitize water fountain and public telephone, clean ash trays and stands, and change shower and besides curtains as needed. K. Maintains attendance as outlined in Eskaton policy. d. Follows required dress code and Eskaton's Community Appearance Standards. Maintains a professional image to the public and residents. e. Works in accordance with established safety guidelines; uses proper body mechanics; follows safe work practices; wears appropriate safety gear. IV. High school education or vocational training preferred. Experience in housekeeping activities; use and maintenance of equipment. All staff that provide direct care to residents will have current first aid training. Experience in housekeeping activities and use of supplies preferred. V.
