In this role, you will help create a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming home for our residents by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the community. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, understands the importance of infection prevention and resident safety, and is committed to enhancing the quality of life for seniors through exceptional housekeeping services. Duties and Responsibilities Perform daily housekeeping duties including dusting, cleaning surfaces, vacuuming, mopping floors, and sanitizing resident apartments and common areas. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces to maintain compliance with health, safety, and infection control standards. Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, activity rooms, offices, and shared community spaces. Operate housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, floor machines, carpet cleaners, and other janitorial tools safely and effectively. Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens, towels, and resident laundry as needed. Safely move light furniture and supplies when necessary to perform cleaning tasks. Help maintain clean and welcoming outdoor entryways, patios, and other exterior areas as assigned. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisors promptly. Interact with residents, families, and team members in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner. Support a warm, resident-centered environment that promotes dignity, comfort, and well-being for seniors living in Assisted Living and Memory Care. Qualifications and Skills Previous housekeeping experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, healthcare, hospitality, or custodial environments preferred. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and infection control practices. Ability to safely operate housekeeping equipment and use cleaning products appropriately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment as needed. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate and professional attitude when interacting with elderly residents, including those living with memory loss or cognitive impairments.
