Under the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeping Aide performs scheduled housekeeping tasks in accordance with the regulations, policy and procedure while maintaining the facility and furnishings in clean serviceable conditions. Housekeepers are vital to having a clean, safe nursing environment. Part-Time Housekeeping Aide (Housekeeper)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dusting, washing windows, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning upholstery, cleaning light fixtures and cleaning bathroom fixtures
• Perform floor care such as dust-mop, wet-mop, spot-mop and strip/seal/wax/buff
• Empty trash containers, replace liners as appropriate and dispose of trash in proper receptacle
• Dispense soap, paper towels, tissue and other supplies to resident rooms and general use areas
• Operate housekeeping equipment safely, according to instructions with proper precautions
• Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy
• Assist in proper care of housekeeping equipment
• Perform related duties or projects as assigned by supervisor Part-Time Housekeeping Aide (Housekeeper)

REQUIREMENTS

• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality and comply with attendance policy
• Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner
• Be responsible for the safety of residents related to housekeeping duties
• Observe all facility policies and procedures
• Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers Part-Time Housekeeping Aide (Housekeeper)
