Job Summary:
A GIGCC Bag Room Attendant is an important member of the Golf Operations team and plays a key role in providing an exceptional experience for Grosse Ile Golf & Country Club members and their guests. This position is responsible for the proper handling, storage, cleaning, and staging of golf bags and carts while providing friendly, attentive, and professional service throughout the member's golf experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Warmly greet members and guests upon arrival and departure. Learn and use member names whenever possible. Retrieve, stage, load, unload, clean and properly store member golf bags and equipment. Prepare golf carts for daily play, including cleaning, staging, stocking and organizing carts. Assist members and guests with loading and unloading golf equipment from vehicles. Clean golf clubs following play and return equipment to the appropriate storage location. Maintain an accurate and organized bag storage area. Ensure the bag room, cart staging areas and practice areas remain clean, orderly and professional in appearance. Maintain appropriate supplies on golf carts and in staging areas. Assist with the setup and breakdown of tournaments, outings, leagues and other golf events. Stage bags and carts according to tee sheets, tournament assignments or Golf Professional Staff instructions. Assist with practice range operations, including retrieving, cleaning and stocking range balls as assigned. Communicate member requests, concerns, equipment issues or service needs to the Golf Professional Staff. Monitor golf carts and equipment for damage or maintenance concerns and report issues immediately. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry golf bags and equipment weighing up to 50lbs. Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, reach, push, pull and perform repetitive physical tasks. Safely operate golf carts and other approved equipment. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, cold and direct sunlight.

From $14.00 per hour
