Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized to hotel standards. Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures. Conduct floor cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, buffing, and detailed floor care to maintain a spotless environment. Manage custodial tasks such as waste disposal, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in all assigned areas. Operate cleaning equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols related to heavy lifting and manual handling. Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries with a friendly attitude, delivering excellent customer service at all times. Follow hotel emergency procedures during incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest safety and operational continuity. Qualifications Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial work is highly desirable; familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is a plus. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the use of cleaning equipment is essential. Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly by understanding SDS information and practicing safe chemical handling. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest interactions. Experience with hotel housekeeping management or custodial supervision is advantageous but not required.
