Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, corridors, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment Handle laundry duties efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and uniforms Follow strict safety protocols related to chemical handling and manual handling to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, floors, and high-touch areas in accordance with healthcare infection prevention guidelines Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and steam cleaners with proper technique and safety measures Adhere to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and environmental services best practices to promote workplace safety Assist with heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving supplies or equipment as needed Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to staff requests for cleaning or sanitation needs in various healthcare settings Skills Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and healthcare infection prevention protocols Experience with cleaning procedures specific to healthcare facilities or commercial environments Proficiency in handling chemical agents safely and understanding proper chemical handling procedures Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward team collaboration and communication Familiarity with laundry operations within healthcare or custodial settings Experience operating various cleaning equipment such as floor care machines, vacuums, and steam cleaners Understanding of sanitation standards necessary for hospital or healthcare facility housekeeping roles Ability to follow detailed safety protocols consistently and accurately Join us in creating a clean, safe environment that supports health care excellence!
