Housekeeping Aide Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team at Arbor Care Centers - Valhaven. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our long-term care facility, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.

Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled housekeeping tasks, including mopping, sweeping, dusting, washing windows, shampooing and vacuuming carpets, and arranging furniture and equipment Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas of the facility, including living areas, bathrooms, and common spaces Demonstrate ability to follow policies and procedures set forth in our Environmental Care Manual and Disaster Manual Conduct laundry tasks, including washing, drying, and hanging up laundry, as well as washing and drying bed linens Attend mandatory in-services and training sessions Act as an active member of the interdisciplinary team and adjust to changes in shift assignments as needed Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and co-workers

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform moderate to heavy lifting, walking, and/or standing for extended periods of time Utilize proper chemicals and equipment to clean and disinfect surfaces Report repair needs and safety hazards to supervisors and take corrective action as necessary Demonstrate ability to use facility equipment safely and effectively Recognize, remove, and/or report potential hazards and keep work areas clean and organized Ensure understanding of and compliance with all rules regarding residents' rights and confidentiality of resident information

Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions Physical and sensory requirements, including walking/mobility, reaching, bending, lifting, transferring, and repositioning residents, grasping, pushing, and pulling
