Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our team, working from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall hygiene of healthcare facilities or similar environments. Your dedication will contribute to a safe, healthy, and welcoming space for staff, patients, and visitors alike. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact through meticulous cleaning and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and hallways using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle laundry duties efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing items. Maintain sanitation standards by properly handling chemical agents in accordance with OSHA guidelines and safety protocols. Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe. Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks while following safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Follow healthcare infection prevention and control procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards in healthcare environments. Document cleaning activities accurately and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare facilities or similar environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to chemical handling, environmental services, and safety protocol adherence. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use cleaning equipment effectively. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude towards staff and visitors. Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention practices is a plus. Excellent manual handling skills with attention to detail in sanitation procedures. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
