Duties Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, corridors, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents Handle laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and uniforms with attention to detail Follow strict safety protocols related to chemical handling and manual handling to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain a pristine environment Use sanitation techniques aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control guidelines to minimize the risk of cross-contamination Operate janitorial equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to environmental services best practices Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and chemicals ensuring proper storage and usage in accordance with safety regulations Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience in healthcare facilities or commercial cleaning environments is highly preferred Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to chemical agent handling, safe lifting practices, and environmental safety protocols Experience with healthcare infection prevention and control procedures is advantageous Familiarity with hospital or healthcare facility housekeeping standards including sanitation procedures for patient areas and operating rooms Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during cleaning tasks or supply movement Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with staff members and visitors when needed Proven track record of adhering to safety protocols while maintaining high standards of cleanliness in demanding settings
