Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper/Laundry Worker to join our hospitality team. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of resident apartments, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment. Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and resident clothing with care and efficiency. Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hotel procedures. Maintain sanitation standards in public areas, restrooms, hallways, and other community spaces by applying proper cleaning techniques and floor care practices. Manage heavy lifting tasks related to linen carts, cleaning supplies, and equipment while following manual handling safety guidelines. Follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident guest requests professionally and ensuring their comfort during their stay. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred. Familiarity with community housekeeping practices and emergency procedures enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Hands-on experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and chemical agents handling is essential. Knowledge of sanitation standards, floor cleaning techniques—including floor care—and chemical handling procedures is required. Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience will support your ability to deliver exceptional service efficiently. Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50lbs safely and manage custodial tasks with attention to detail is important for success in this position.
