Job Description

Housekeeping Position Wyoming Seminary Lower School is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join the Housekeeping Team. This housekeeping position is a 12-month support staff position reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor at Wyoming Seminary Lower School located in Forty Fort, PA. The working hours for this position is 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This individual provides cleaning and housekeeping duties that are necessary to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the school campus. Responsibilities Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and other school facilities Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize assigned areas Empty trash and recycling receptacles Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines Ability to interact professionally and effectively with staff, students and vendors. Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned Qualifications Previous institutional or commercial cleaning experience Knowledge and experience with floor care Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions Must be reliable and able to work independently Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position Must be able to pass background and all clearances required to work in a school. Physical Demands Work is medium to heavy Must be able to walk, lift, move and operate buffing, scrubbing, and other cleaning machines and equipment.
