Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Handle various cleaning tasks such as floor care, chemical agent handling, and the use of cleaning equipment to maintain pristine environments. Maintain public areas like lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces with meticulous attention to sanitation and safety protocols. Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures, including proper manual handling techniques and heavy lifting practices to ensure safety. Adhere to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and hotel emergency procedures when using cleaning chemicals or handling hazardous materials. Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring all tools are maintained and stored correctly. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or room amenities. Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of floor cleaning, sanitation practices, chemical handling, and cleaning equipment operation is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure all areas meet hygiene standards. Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management processes and safety procedures enhances your suitability for this role.
