About Aurora Nursing and Rehab Center Aurora Nursing and Rehab Center is a family-oriented facility that strives to make our services and people the pillars that set us apart in the delivery of skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in our community. We are seeking a dependable and motivated Full-Time Housekeeping/Laundry Aide to join our team in a 35-bed skilled nursing facility. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the facility in a clean, safe and attractive condition in accordance with facility policy. Daylight schedule 5 days per week (flexible scheduling) Requires rotating weekends and some holiday availability Pay Rate starts at $14/hr Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follow standard safety and infection control practices and disaster and emergency protocols Clean and disinfect surfaces, perform floor care and deep clean resident rooms, bathrooms, guest areas, hallways and offices as needed Maintain all areas in a clean and safe manner Operate equipment as needed to maintain cleanliness in the facility Wash, dry, fold and deliver laundry to residents Respect resident rights and dignity; maintain HIPAA privacy and confidentiality Recognize and report concerns of suspected abuse, exploitation or neglect Communicate and conduct yourself professionally with residents, guests and other staff Qualifications The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in the use of proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures, safety precautions, waste disposal and familiar with the operation of equipment needed to accomplish tasks Must have reliable transportation High school graduate or GED preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Frequent bending, reaching, stooping and stretching Ability to interact with and communicate professionally with others Aurora Nursing and Rehab Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth and pregnancy-related conditions), gender identity or expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital status, military service and veteran status, physical or mental disability, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws and ordinances.
