Job Description

Part-time:

Direct Report:
Supervisor of Environmental Services Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, you are responsible for providing the highest quality of care in our 117-bed facility to our residents in a family-like environment. You will be responsible for cleaning the facility and resident rooms. Your goal is to provide quality service to our residents.
Qualifications:
Housekeeping experience preferred but not required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Flexible availability, periodically working different shifts based on operational needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs routine housekeeping services which include the cleaning of furniture, equipment, floors, walls, windows, toilets, mirrors, sinks, etc., and the emptying of wastebaskets. Assist in keeping residents' rooms and common areas clean and orderly. Removal and application of bedding and linens. Vacuuming and cleaning carpets. Stocking and maintaining an inventory of housekeeping supplies. Reporting breakages, damages and safety issues for repairs to the maintenance department. Perform project cleaning as required. This may include windows, grounds, wheel chair, stripping and waxing floors, etc.
Specific Requirements:
Must be able to follow established quality and infection control procedures and policies set forth by the facility and federal guidelines. Ability to use operate hand or lightweight cleaning tools. Must be able to work as a team. Must be able to read and write the English language. Must possess excellent oral and strong written communication skills. Must possess excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills to complete daily tasks.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Must be able to work independently. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
