Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces to maintain a pristine environment. Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to ensure health standards are met or exceeded. Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items efficiently. Clean floors thoroughly using specialized floor cleaning techniques and equipment to preserve flooring integrity and appearance. Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas by disinfecting surfaces regularly. Manage janitorial supplies inventory, ensuring all cleaning detergents and equipment are stocked and maintained properly. Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs or requests while providing excellent customer service. Safely perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct outdoor work when necessary for exterior cleaning or maintenance tasks related to residential or commercial properties. Follow all health and safety guidelines related to cleaning procedures, equipment use, and sanitation standards to promote a safe working environment. Experience Prior experience in residential housekeeping or commercial cleaning is highly preferred. Experience with hotel housekeeping or custodial roles demonstrates strong attention to detail and customer service skills. Familiarity with various cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, floor buffers, and pressure washers is advantageous. Knowledge of cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling techniques ensures effective sanitation practices. Demonstrated ability in time management allows for efficient completion of daily tasks within scheduled timeframes. Outdoor work experience is beneficial for handling exterior cleaning projects or landscape-related maintenance tasks. Previous janitorial or custodial experience provides a solid foundation in maintaining cleanliness standards across diverse environments.
