Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols for chemical handling. Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by executing janitorial tasks efficiently. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, linens, and cleaning equipment to ensure proper sanitation standards are met without risking injury. Follow hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety during incidents or evacuations while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. Use industrial cleaning tools and equipment effectively to uphold hygiene standards across all assigned areas. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or cleaning needs with a friendly attitude. Experience Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards is advantageous. Hands-on experience with floor cleaning techniques including floor care and maintenance is desirable. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures related to chemical handling, and the use of cleaning equipment is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated commitment to hospitality excellence with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
