Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across residential and commercial properties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure health standards are consistently met or exceeded. Handle laundry tasks such as washing, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items. Operate various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including carpet cleaners, floor buffers, and janitorial tools. Maintain high standards of cleanliness on floors through proper floor care techniques such as sweeping, scrubbing, and polishing. Manage heavy lifting tasks involving furniture, appliances, or cleaning supplies with proper manual handling techniques. Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service. Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards. Ensure outdoor work areas are kept clean and safe when applicable, including trash removal and outdoor surface cleaning. Follow all safety guidelines related to the use of cleaning detergents and chemicals, ensuring proper storage and disposal. Skills Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments; janitorial or custodial experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation procedures. Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the workday. Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling activities required for thorough cleaning tasks. Customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their needs and feedback. Experience with outdoor work environments is a plus; familiarity with hotel housekeeping or hospitality industry standards is beneficial. Knowledge of cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper application methods to ensure effective sanitation. Ability to follow detailed instructions for cleaning procedures while maintaining flexibility for different client requirements.
