Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment. Handle chemical agents safely and in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols to ensure effective sanitation without compromising safety. Use various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and mops to maintain floors in pristine condition, including specialized floor care tasks. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and linens while adhering to safety guidelines for injury prevention. Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting surfaces, replacing linens, trash removal, and ensuring all areas meet health regulations. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns. Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests related to housekeeping needs or inquiries about hotel amenities. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of hospitality standards. Skilled in floor cleaning techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and specialized floor care methods. Knowledgeable about chemical handling procedures and the proper use of cleaning agents to ensure safety and effectiveness. Familiar with cleaning equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing custodial tasks efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members alike. Understanding of hotel housekeeping management practices and custodial experience to ensure consistent quality standards.
