Duties Clean and sanitize guest rooms thoroughly, including beds, bathrooms, floors, and furniture, ensuring all areas meet sanitation standards. Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, mops, and cleaning tools while adhering to safety protocols. Manage the proper handling and application of chemical agents in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hotel procedures. Perform floor care activities such as vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen supplies or cleaning equipment to ensure efficient room turnover. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with knowledge of janitorial practices and industrial cleaning techniques. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Expertise in floor cleaning, sanitation, and the safe handling of chemical agents used for cleaning purposes. Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively while maintaining safety standards. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and adherence to safety data sheets (SDS). Physical ability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and hospitality industry standards for cleanliness and safety.
