In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with proper manual handling techniques. Maintain cleanliness in public areas including hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other shared spaces by executing routine janitorial tasks and industrial cleaning procedures. Ensure all cleaning activities comply with safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical handling and follow hotel emergency procedures to guarantee a safe environment for guests and staff. Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to hotel housekeeping management standards. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen carts or cleaning supplies while observing proper safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or cleaning needs, fostering a hospitable atmosphere. Experience Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial services is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and industrial cleaning methods. Familiarity with chemical agent handling, safety data sheets (SDS), and proper use of cleaning equipment is highly desirable. Experience in hotel emergency procedures and hotel housekeeping management will be advantageous. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards in a hospitality setting.
