Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment. Handle various chemical agents safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols to ensure proper sanitation and safety. Conduct floor cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain impeccable floor care standards. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners efficiently and safely. Manage heavy lifting tasks involved in moving furniture, linens, or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety procedures. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns. Maintain cleanliness standards by inspecting work areas regularly and reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests and ensuring their comfort during their stay. Adhere to hotel housekeeping management policies to ensure consistent quality and efficiency across all cleaning tasks. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a focus on industrial or hotel cleaning environments. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and chemical handling protocols. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Physical strength for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest interactions. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems is a plus. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS).
