SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
You'll be responsible for creating and managing product tags that ensure accurate labeling, traceability, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Create and print product tags and labels for tortillas, baked goods, and packaging materials Ensure all tags include correct product name, lot number, expiration date, barcode, and regulatory information Coordinate with production and quality assurance teams to verify tag accuracy and timing Maintain and operate tag printing equipment, including troubleshooting minor issues Organize and distribute tags to packaging stations in alignment with production schedules Monitor inventory of tag supplies and request replenishments proactively Assist in maintaining compliance with FDA, USDA, and other food labeling regulations Keep detailed records of tag batches for traceability and audits Support continuous improvement in initiatives in labeling efficiency and accuracy Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in food manufacturing or packaging preferred Familiarity with labeling software and basic computer skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Basic understanding of food safety and traceability standards a plus Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong asset Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Lift and carry up to 25 lbs Perform repetitive tasks with accuracy Skills and abilities Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Netsuite). Demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be detail oriented. Able to adhere to tight deadlines.
