Like working with your hands? Want to learn a skill you can actually use? Wild Frontier Meat is looking for a Seasonal Wild Game Butcher to join our team in Wellington, Colorado, during the busy hunting season. We need help from September to January . Professional butchering experience is NOT required—we're willing to train the right person.
What You'll Do:
As a seasonal butcher, you'll help turn freshly harvested game into high-quality cuts of meat for our customers.
Duties may include:
Skinning and breaking down deer and other wild game Cutting steaks, roasts, and other whole-muscle cuts Trimming and grinding meat Packaging and labeling finished products Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas Learning proper meat-handling and food-safety practices Working for a small, family-owned business during our busiest time of year This job could be a great fit if you: Are a hunter or have an interest in hunting and wild game Want to learn professional meat-cutting skills Enjoy working with your hands and aren't afraid of physical work Have good attention to detail and take pride in your work Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Are dependable and willing to work as part of a team Are comfortable working around blood, raw meat, and animal carcasses Can safely use knives and other processing equipment Are able to stand for extended periods and regularly lift 50+ pounds Previous butchering or meat-processing experience is a plus, but it's not required. Hunting experience, farm/ranch experience, restaurant experience, or other hands-on experience is highly valued. Why Work With Us?
