Full Job Description Responsibilities:

• The team member will grab the strip loin off the line with a hook.
• Carefully remove the feather bones and the transverse processes; one at a time.
• Remove the 13th rib from the strip and throw the rib onto the bone line.
• Remove all cartilage and buttons from the strip.
• Once the product is completely boned, the product is pushed back on the line for further processing.
• If there is an order for the short loins; the strip boner will then grab the top butt from the line and carefully remove the butt tender from the top butt by following as closely to the pelvic bone as possible.
• Once the product is completely boned, the product is pushed back on the line for QA inspection and further processing.
• Additional strip boners will remove the kidney fat from the short loin and place the short loin on the line for QA inspection and further processing.

• Production setting
• Exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives
• Slippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noise
• Exposure to cold and dampness to hands and fingers
• Standing for extended periods
• Repetitive motion of upper body and extremities
• Fluctuating time schedules

Qualifications:

• Must possess the will to learn and handle large pieces of product
• A certain level of physical fitness
• Knife experience is preferred
• Ability to work 50+ hours
• Ability to work with others
