Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bus Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their transportation to and from school. This position requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of behavior management, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff. Responsibilities Supervise students while boarding and disembarking the bus to ensure their safety. Manage student behavior effectively, promoting a positive environment during transit. Assist students with special needs, providing support as necessary. Educate students on bus safety rules and proper conduct while riding. Communicate with parents and school staff regarding any issues or concerns related to student behavior or safety. Maintain a clean and orderly environment on the bus. Respond promptly to any conflicts or emergencies that may arise during transportation. Administer first aid when necessary and ensure that all health protocols are followed. Skills Strong behavior management skills to handle various student behaviors effectively. Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings. Knowledge of special education practices is a plus. Ability to educate students on safety protocols and appropriate conduct. Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff. Experience in conflict management to resolve issues calmly and effectively. First aid certification is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is essential.
