ERBA Head Start has multiple openings for our 2026-2027 school year across many locations. Below is a list of our Southern Openings. Positions will begin in August. All Head Start positions start at $15.70 an hour. Teacher and Teacher Aide starting pay is based on education. Head Start Cook in Newton- Full-time (35hrs/week) Cooking experience preferred. Experience working with preschool children preferred. Must be able to communicate with other staff and willing to help others. Food and sanitation license required within 90 days. Head Start Classroom Aide/Bus Aide in Newton- Full-time (35hrs/week) Will work collaboratively with teaching staff to assist children who need accommodations and in the classroom. This person will ride the bus to assist with pick up and delivery of children to designated locations, assumes responsibility for the children's safety on the bus. Must have the ability to assist the children to buckle their restraint system, fill out paperwork as necessary, make sure the children are safely turned over to their parent/guardian, check the bus to make sure it is empty, keep in contact with the Center if the need arises, and be able to keep the children quiet. Other duties as assigned. Head Start Classroom Aide/Bus Aide in Olney- Full-time (32hrs/week) Will work collaboratively with teaching staff to assist children who need accommodations and in the classroom. Other duties as assigned. Head Start Family Advocate/Bus Aide in Robinson - Part-Time (29hrs/week) Will work with families and assists with recruitment and enrollment for the classroom. Must have the ability to assist the children and fill out paperwork as necessary. This person will ride the bus to assist with pick up or delivery of children to designated locations, assumes responsibility for the children's safety on the bus. Must have the ability to assist the children to buckle their restraint system, fill out paperwork as necessary, make sure the children are safely turned over to their parent/guardian, check the bus to make sure it is empty, keep in contact with the Center if the need arises, and be able to keep the children quiet.
