Position Summary:

\ The Bus Monitor is responsible for working as a team member with the Bus Driver to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of Program Children.\

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

\

• Ensure children are in age/weight appropriate child restraint system.\
• Assist children with loading and unloading from bus.\
• Ensure children are released only to authorized individuals.\
• In conjunction with driver, maintain route copy and assist substitute driver.\
• Maintain backpack for respective route, medication log, name tags, seating chart, Child Plus forms.\
• Engage children with age-appropriate activities, i.e. songs, games, music.\
• Along with Bus Driver, maintain cleanliness of equipment and vehicle.\
• Follow Transportation policies and procedures as outlined.\
• The duties listed above are representative of the work performed.

Qualifications:

• HS or equivalent\
• Evidence of MMR\
• Ability to pass

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of child monitoring experience\
