Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Bus Monitor, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, supervision, and well-being of students during transportation. Your energetic and proactive approach will help create a secure environment on school buses, supporting students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities and special education requirements. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' daily lives while fostering safe and positive transportation experiences. Duties Supervise students during bus rides, ensuring their safety and adherence to school policies Enforce transportation safety regulations and evacuation procedures in case of emergencies Support students with physical disabilities or special education needs, providing necessary assistance and behavior management Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student behavior and safety concerns Manage student discipline and behavior management strategies to promote a positive riding environment Assist with child care responsibilities as needed, including helping students with personal needs or mobility challenges Handle confidential information responsibly and maintain compliance with school policies and procedures Experience Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings preferred Knowledge of behavior management techniques for students with special needs or disabilities Training or certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or conflict management are advantageous Familiarity with school safety regulations, evacuation procedures, and transportation safety protocols Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school personnel Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently while maintaining student safety Experience working with students requiring physical support or behavioral interventions is highly valued Join us as a Bus Monitor to ensure every student's ride is safe, supportive, and positive.
