Activities Coordinator - Assisted Living & Memory Care Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our Assisted Living and Memory Care team. This position is responsible for developing, organizing, and leading engaging activities that enrich the lives of our 38 residents while promoting socialization, physical movement, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, enjoys working with seniors, and can create fun, meaningful experiences that are appropriate for varying cognitive and physical abilities. When activities are complete or downtime allows, this team member will also assist staff with resident support and other facility needs. Primary Responsibilities Develop, plan, and maintain a monthly activities calendar with a variety of engaging programs. Lead and encourage participation in daily group and one-on-one activities for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. Plan activities that promote physical, mental, emotional, and social wellness. Decorate and prepare activity spaces for holidays, special events, and themed celebrations. Coordinate community events, family gatherings, entertainers, volunteers, and outings when appropriate. Encourage resident participation while adapting activities to individual interests, abilities, and cognitive levels. Build positive relationships with residents by providing companionship, encouragement, and meaningful engagement. Document resident participation and activity attendance as required. Assist with mealtime supervision, resident engagement, and other facility duties when time permits. Support caregivers and nursing staff as needed to ensure residents receive exceptional care. Qualifications Previous experience in Activities, Recreation, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Senior Living, or a related healthcare setting preferred. Experience working with individuals living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is highly preferred. Creative, energetic, patient, and compassionate personality. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and engage residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with the care team. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Requirements Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Check . Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire). Ability to lift, bend, stand, and assist residents as needed throughout the day. Willingness to assist with resident care and other facility needs when activities are not in progress. Must have a genuine passion for enriching the lives of seniors. Why Join Our Team?
