In this role, you will design, coordinate, and facilitate engaging activities that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being for our residents. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help foster a lively community atmosphere, ensuring each resident feels valued, connected, and empowered to enjoy their daily lives. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working alongside a compassionate team dedicated to exceptional senior care. Duties Plan, organize, and execute a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and care needs, including memory care and dementia-specific programs Coordinate resident events such as outings, celebrations, and themed activities to promote community engagement Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) such as hobbies, games, music therapy, and social gatherings that enhance residents' quality of life Build strong rapport with residents through personalized interaction and attentive communication to foster trust and companionship Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to develop individualized activity plans aligned with residents' health conditions and cognitive status Manage schedules for activities and ensure timely setup, execution, and cleanup of events Maintain detailed records of participation, resident preferences, and activity outcomes to support ongoing program development Experience Prior experience in assisted living or long-term care facilities is highly preferred Demonstrated background in event planning or recreational therapy within senior or geriatric populations Experience working with individuals with disabilities or memory impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia Familiarity with geriatrics, memory care strategies, and aging issues counseling Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with seniors and team members Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and scheduling purposes Proven ability to develop engaging programs that promote resident well-being and foster community spirit Join us in creating joyful moments for our residents!
