Job Description:
Conducts fitness tests, including cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular testing, body-fat composition, flexibility assessment, and exercise program review, and provides consultation on results. Develops exercise prescriptions and programs for members based on their health and fitness needs. Provides fitness floor supervision, exercise instruction, and demonstrates the use of fitness equipment, ensuring safety and adherence to rules. Leads exercise sessions using proper fitness techniques and promotes member participation. Ensures the fitness floors and equipment are clean and well-maintained. Provides corporate health promotion services, fitness testing, wellness screenings, and lectures on health, nutrition, and fitness as requested. Stays current with research and trends in fitness through workshops, professional journals, and networking. Conducts fitness and health assessments for new members and refers them to personal physicians when necessary. Oversees and maintains a high-quality fitness assessment program, including equipment and inventory. Coordinates and administers individual exercise program consultations for high-risk members based on ACSM guidelines. Develops, implements, and administers exercise curriculum and programs. Performs the primary duties and responsibilities of a Personal Trainer. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Exercise testing, exercise prescription, and programming skills [Required] CPR/Basic Life Support•CPR Cert (BLS), AED, and First Aid are a must [Required] A strong understanding of diverse training modalities and applications is essential [Required] Extremely punctual, detail-oriented, with strong time-management skills [Required] The ability and desire to build trusting and professional relationships with clients [Required] The communication skills necessary to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one and group situations, including the ability to prepare and give professional presentations [Required] The interpersonal skills necessary to interact with physicians, co-workers, members, and clients [Required] Organized and detail-oriented with the organizational skills necessary to provide instruction/information systematically and to simultaneously supervise multiple activities [Required] General office and computer skills, including proficiency with computer programs (Microsoft Office, etc.) and basic computer skills [Required] Must understand social media [Required] Strong communication skills, must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English [Required] Proficiency in fitness assessment and exercise prescription [Required] Understanding of fitness industry trends [Required] Experience with scheduling programs is a plus [Preferred] Public speaking skills and experience in sales and event scheduling [Preferred]

Work Experience:
1+ ACSM health & fitness specialist [Preferred] 1+ equivalent experience [Preferred] 2+ experience instructing group exercise classes and recognized industry certification [Preferred]
Additional Information:
An equivalent combination of education ad relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement: Bachelors degree AND 0+ years of experience OR Associates degree AND 2+ years of experience OR High School Grad or Equivalent AND 4+ years of experience.
