Role Description The Summer Camp Boys Division Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, safety, and well-being of campers in the boys' division. This contract, on-site role in Clayton, GA includes supervising cabin counselors, coordinating schedules and activities, managing camper behavior, and ensuring a positive camp experience for each participant. The Division Leader supports staff in implementing camp policies, leads division meetings, and communicates effectively with camp leadership and, when needed, with families. Daily tasks also involve addressing camper concerns, fostering an inclusive environment, and promoting camp values through guidance, encouragement, and example. Qualifications Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience supervising staff or volunteers in youth-focused settings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with campers, staff, and families. Demonstrated ability to manage group dynamics, resolve conflicts, and maintain a safe, respectful environment. Experience working in camps, education, recreation, or youth development programs is highly beneficial. Ability to work long, active days in an outdoor environment and respond calmly in emergency or high-pressure situations. Familiarity with basic safety and risk management practices; CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain is preferred. Strong organizational skills, including planning daily schedules, coordinating activities, and following camp procedures. High school diploma required; college coursework or a degree in education, recreation, psychology, or related fields is a plus. Commitment to creating an inclusive, non-discriminatory environment and serving as a positive role model for all campers.
