POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for leading, instructing, and supervising youth sports programs

September 12, 2026-October 22, 2026 SHIFTS
AVAILABLE
: Monday•Thursday from 4:30•7:30pm
PAY RANGE
$11•13.50+ / hour depending on qualifications
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conduct programs in a fun, positive atmosphere and create an environment that welcomes all types of participants from varying levels and backgrounds. Supervise activities located at the site assigned to. Lead / teach / demonstrate the activities for the Youth Sports Summer Program. Ability to follow and implement curriculum for the Youth Sports Program provided by the supervisor. Communicate with the participants about information regarding program activities. Address participants' concerns and notify the supervisor. Relate to individual participants on a professional basis at all times. Exercise sound judgement in situations not covered by policies, procedures, and practices. Assist leadership with developing the program curriculum. Monitor and maintain equipment, and report specific problems or needs to the supervisor or designated staff person. Ensure safety of participants by enforcing policies and disciplinary rules. Know emergency procedures and be able to demonstrate them. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person. Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to read, write, and perform simple mathematical functions. Must be at least 16 years of age as of June 1, 2026. Previous work experience, preferable in leading or instructing others. Perform basic computer skills such as using the computerized time clock and online training requirements. Current Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED Certification OR equivalent•prior to starting. Child Abuse Prevention Training•prior to starting if hired, and maintained annually. Additional training to be completed within the first 30 days and maintained afterwards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Visual, auditory, and verbal ability to communicate with people and monitor property and activity Ability to perform moderate physical activity Ability to adapt to changing working conditions Ability to deliver the program in various environments.

Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to work with diverse group of people Good communication and organizational skills Ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously Ability to teach/train the assigned programs Ability to maintain control even when distracted by noise and activity Ability to make sound judgments in all situations and transfer learning from one situation to another Respond to questions and concerns of program participants and families.
